Mark Netherway and Nicole Bijlsma began to realise the extent to which homes were the underlying cause of many illnesses in her patients. With Nicole being the leading educator of building biology and the health hazards within the home in Australia, they were continually frustrated with the cost and poor quality of products marketed as natural – the greater majority of which were not much better than what could be found on a supermarket shelf.

They devoted five years to create a range of products that would revolutionise the industry and set a benchmark for cleaning products in health food stores. The Abode range was created from the ground up – and specifically formulated to ensure all products are devoid of nasty chemical ingredients, most which are typically found in the great majority of cleaning products.
